Annotated Bibliography

The link below is for my annotated bibliography. The reason I have an annotated bibliography is that in order to effectively create my portfolio, I needed to do research and gain knowledge on different terms. The sources I used are all valid and reliable and formatted in APA to keep the document organized. Some sources I used are education sites such as Gale, news sources, and other credible websites. All of these sources contributed to my success because they gave me the background knowledge to make me prepared and educated me on the relevant terms and issues.    Annotated Bibliography

Creative Critical Reflection

Question 1 I chose to answer question one of my creative critical reflection by using a Prezi because the software let me organize my response in a way that makes sense. Prezi was the best way to showcase my response because it offers an easy way to transition between different parts of my magazine. Question 2 For question two, I decided to film a video of myself answering the question and I put it on YouTube that way it's easily accessible for people to view. YouTube is a good choice for this response because it was easy to upload and keeps my response concise. Question 3 Since question three is more about the production aspect of my project and how I progressed over time, I utilized the PowerPoint software to formulate my response. PowerPoint was the best choice for this question because it clearly shows my thought process. Question 4 For the last question of the creative critical reflection I used InDesign to make a content page of the technology I used for my project. I thought...

Final Draft: Health-Ful

Health-Ful (final draft) My magazine, Health-Ful, is a sports and health magazine focused on providing people with content to get them to be the healthiest version of themselves. I feel as though my magazine's final product came out better than expected; I definitely could've added things to make the outcome better, but I am satisfied with the final product. I hope that my project is received with the intent that I am reaching my audience and providing people with content to better their lives.

Post Production 2- Making changes

Since I had already changed the layout and formatting of my magazine, there wasn't much left to edit except for the actual content of my feature article. My feature article was already pretty well off except I wanted to add a more in depth section about Marie's typical daily routine. I feel that adding this section really pulls together my article and makes it more accessible to the audience. Also, I reworded some parts of my feature article and proof read for grammar and spelling errors. Once all of that was taken care of I just looked over my magazine as a whole and previewed how it would look published. Now that all of these changes have been made, I confidently feel like my magazine is finished.

Post Production 1- Editing the layout

In my peer review, I was made aware that my text was too close to the edge of the page and also too close to the images in my magazine. To fix this, I edited the layout and made my text more vertical by using columns and I got rid of the black spot on the first page of my feature article. By doing this, I was able to organize the article more and make it easier for people to read. Also, I edited the second page of the feature article by organizing a section with a daily workout routine she has. In order to include this I added a textbox in red to draw the reader's attention. I also positioned the images to take up most of the page and I added some context for one of the images with a short paragraph on Marie's progress.

Peer Review

Last week in class Darsham and I showcased our magazine, Health-ful. It was so nice getting feedback from our classmates because it made me aware of what we need to change. The big issue with our magazine that we need to change is making the layout identical besides the feature article. We didn't realize that the formatting of the magazine was suppose to be identical, we just thought that the concept had to be the same. Overall, there weren't any big differences in our magazines except for the layout of the cover and content page. Darsham and I are going to get together this week and make changes to our magazine to make sure they are matching up by the time we send the final to Cambridge. Personally, for my magazine, my peers told me that my text was too close to the edge of the page. I think that this might have been a formatting issue when I converted the magazine into Blogger but this is an easy fix that I will get done this week. Right now I have some concerns for our proj...
